The New York alumni chapter likes to celebrate and recreate traditions from campus. For Picnic Day this year we’ll have an outdoor meet up in a historic NYC Location.
The Beer Garden at Bohemian hall is the oldest beer garden in NYC. Since before the prohibition era, this Queens destination has been a center for the Czech community in Astoria.
Today it’s a relaxing venue to sample beer varieties alongside food items from the region, such as soft pretzels, bratwurst, schnitzel, or dumplings. Standard American favorites (burgers and dogs) and vegetarian options also available. Full menu online. Food and drinks are not hosted.
UC Davis Alumni will be sporting our campus swag, so look for Blue and Gold. Children are welcome, but please no outside food or drinks!
