Active Aggies: Glen Canyon Park Hike in San Francisco

Event Date

Location
Glen Canyon Park - Meeting Location: Recreation Center at 70 Elk Street, San Francisco, CA 94127

Join our Active Aggies on this September Glen Canyon Park hike in San Francisco. This will be a 2 mile easy hike with a pace set to complete in approximately 1-1.5 hours.

There is parking lot at the Recreation Center (70 Elk Street) for $3 (inside the park), but the lot does fill up early. Another option is to park on the streets around the park. We suggest to come early to find parking. This is a family friendly hike. Dogs are allowed on a leash with a $2 fee per dog.

After the hike, for those who would like a taste of Mediterranean food, we will pass by the "23rd Annual Middle Eastern Food Festival" at the entrance of the park, by St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church, where some authentic Middle Easter food and dance will be part of the festival.

Items to bring: Water, sunscreen, hat, optionally a light snack (nuts, dry fruits, chocolate, etc.).
