Aggie Traditions 1-25 Aggie Traditions 26-50
At UC Davis, our Aggie Traditions surround us: wearing UC blue to athletic events, watching the Picnic Day parade from a favorite vantage point, wearing pajamas to greet alumni at the train station for Homecoming weekend, agreeing to "meet at the Egghead" at Shields Library for a finals study session. This Aggie Traditions Page serves as a reminder of some of those traditions, as well as milestones of our outstanding university in areas ranging from athletics to agriculture to medicine. As we look back on the first 100 years of UC Davis, it is amazing to see how much we have accomplished and how far we have come. With more than 215,000 alumni, we're proud of the impact we continue to make within our local, national and international communities. In 2008 as we honored our centennial year, ASUCD and the Student Alumni Association decided to recognize the traditions and activities that make UC Davis such a special place. The project was an opportunity to learn about the everyday aspects of campus life that are unique to our university. Whether you are a current student, alumni, faculty or staff, we hope you enjoy reading about the programs and activities that set UC Davis apart.
To complete your traditions:
At the annual New Student Celebration you'll hear about how you can embrace our Aggie traditions. For those students who complete all 50 traditions, we ask that you complete the attached sheet and return it to us. Once we have confirmed your completion of traditions you will be honored with a special medallion to wear at graduation to recognize you as a UC Davis tradition keeper.
