Join us on Thursday, May 23 for spring square dancing with dance caller Evie Ladin hosted by the UC Davis Music Department! All are welcome. No experience necessary - just come learn, dance, stomp your feet and have a great time!
Banjo player, singer, songwriter, percussive-dancer, choreographer and square-dance caller, Evie has always been surrounded by music. Evie tours internationally with Keith Terry and her Evie Ladin Band; and has produced numerous albums and instructional DVDs. In the traditional music world, Evie calls rowdy community square dances, and teaches clawhammer banjo, old time harmony singing and more.
Join in for an authentic opportunity to square dance on campus with music provided by The UC Davis Bluegrass and Old Time String Band lead by Scott Linford, an Assistant Professor of Music here at UC Davis.
